Can-do woman does Christmas!

Well, it is that season again, and yes, I have finished my Christmas shopping! Managed to squeeze it in between numerous last minute work calls, minor hockey games, kids getting sick, me getting sick, g-d professional development days at the schools and the in-laws constant visits. It is not easy to capture the "reason for the season" when you are starting in August, but that is my trick to get everything finished in time! Plus, it is easier on the credit card bills. I like to hit second-hand stores for unique gifts; reduce, re-use, recycle right? I am SOOOOO sick of seeing Christmas ads where cheery vacant-eyed people spend the equivalent of a mortgage payment to make someone happy for two days! Happy Birthday, Jesus...I just went into debt for you! I don't think that was the original intention of the holiday.
All I want for Christmas is to relax for three days uninterrupted...but I don't think the turkey and roast beef will cook themselves...sigh. Maybe next year we'll order out and make that the new tradition. Chinese/Mexican/Buffet Christmas...it sounds so appealing and stress-free...
until next time!
